Enrollment Process
Here's how to get started: WE WILL EXTEND DEADLINE FOR HORN, BASSOON, FLUTE AND OBOE APPLICANTS AS OF 6/11/25! SO ALL DATES BELOW ARE NOW INVALID.
1. Fill out this simple application after clicking here.
2. Full tuition is $275 per student or apply by April 16, 2025 for the $50 early application discount. Or indicate need for scholarship on the application, above. By 5/14, a guardian may contact us to see if you qualify for a partial or full scholarship. ($25 fee required to ask for the scholarship)
IMPORTANT DUE DATES:
May 14 Due date for regular applications
April 16-May 21 Video auditions received (after applying). ~Earlier than May 21 is helpful~
May 2-May28 Notification of acceptances sent out.
May 30 50% payment due to secure one of 15 participant spots.
Participants receive music to practice, soon after this deposit's paid.
June 14 All Final Balances due via PayPal, personal check, cash or bartering;

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS for ALL:
- Scales and a solo
Solo can be one of the following: an etude, a single movement of a sonata or concerto or a band part that shows your strengths
Major Scales by memory: 2-octave concert F, Eb, A; Option to play either 1 or 2 octaves. On chromatic scale, play 2 octaves (Low F to High F). Play slurred 8th notes at quarter note=80.
OBOES: 1-octave major scales by memory: Eb, G, and A. 2-octave Bb and chromatic (2-octave from any pitch). Play slurred 8th notes at quarter note=80.
FLUTES, CLARINETS AND BASSOONS: Clarinet scales are in clarinet pitch, not concert. Major Scales by memory: 2-octave concert F, Eb, A; On chromatic scale, play 2 octaves (Low F to High F). Play slurred 16th notes at quarter note=60 or faster.
